Re: Week-End Salvo: Special Early East Coast Edition
All these mental gymnastics about how we’ll keep up financially with big state school power programs is not going to come close to solving the problem in the short or especially the long run. Unless something changes at the federal level to regulate all these money handouts, LU will be swimming agai...

Re: Coleman Scott
So now we’re not only thinking (unrealistically) about signing guys like Alirez simply because he hits the portal — we’re extending that to out of work assistant coaches? Yeah, that’s bizarre. Coleman Scott left a terrible recruiting class when he left Carolina. Only Koll Magic has turned lemons in...

Re: No Juice
I think LU has done a better job of developing wrestlers than CU in recent years. CU has recruited more high school superstars and has overall out recruited LU by a wide margin, yet LU has kept up with CU on their dual meets and EIWA's. CU has the advantage of offering a CU degree without having to...

Crookham and Beard are the two elite recruits (ranked in the top 20) on the team———no surprise they are AAs. Rogers will be...

The NE corner of IN is not bad around Crown Point/Merrillville area, similar mentality with former Bethlehem Steel Burns Harbor Plant and former Gary Works for Steel. These kids are grandchildren of steelworks and farmers, Tough kids. All those towns, Hobart, Merrillville, Lake Station, Crown Point...

Re: Lehigh Admissions
Justafan states,.."Lehigh will continue to get capable students. Having a few "special admissions" for elite athletes who have an 1150 SAT instead of 1300 is not the end of the world given the plethora of majors Lehigh now offers. You can major in Community Health in School of Health...

Re: Lehigh Admissions
The only reason Lehigh takes all these Chinese and Indian students is because almost every one of them is full pay. Gotta pay all that admin.

Re: Building on Success
Does Ok St need a 165 pounder? I would not rule out that this wrestler wants to go somewhere that values the student part of Student athlete. Lehigh is a totally different world than the wrestling factories that don’t want their athletes spending time in the classroom!! I give us a decent shot here...
