Re: Women's Varsity Wrestling.
I see there are several new commits to Lehigh Women’s Wrestling. One of them is Morgan Edwards from Blair. I saw her wrestle at Blair at a Boys Blair/North Hunterdon match. She wrestled a boy from NH. She lost, but looked tough. Had a takedown, and she rode the kid really, really tough. This women’s...

Re: Rylan Rogers
Obviously things could change, but his dad said yes after the EIWA’s.

Re: JOHN SMITH retires
I wonder. Ok St has HUGE athletic dollars. I wouldn’t be surprised if Taylor is making more money than Sanderson. If so, the money from USA Wrestling for winning a gold medal (and certainly no guarantee of that) becomes a lot less important.

Aaron Brooks
Apparently there is a question as to whether or not he will be disqualified from competing in the Olympics. Supposedly tested positive for Adderall at last year's U23's. Decision expected by the end of next week.

Re: Name, Image and Likeness
Lots of assumptions. Why would Midwest teams, with huge athletic dept budgets, opt to join the EIWA? If need be, they could start their own qualifier right where they are. The ACC is not joining the EIWA. Ever. The have 6 really viable programs. Pac 12 teams will qualify out west somewhere. Big 12 ...

Re: Name, Image and Likeness
Recent article from CBS Sports titled: SEC, Big Ten developing plan to share revenue with players in potential landmark change to college athletics Not sure how that would affect wrestling, as the vast majority of the money would go to football players, and secondly to BBall players. But even a smal...

Re: Name, Image and Likeness
“NIL just accelerates that disadvantage by allowing supporters from schools with 5 X the alumni base to add to the disparity.” More like 10-15 times the alumni base. Penn State, for example, has over 40,000 undergraduates in Happy Valley, and over 70,000 undergraduates in all the Penn State campuses...

Re: Name, Image and Likeness
A quick comment on HFO’s post. While finding someone with deep pockets wanting some advertising value in return is probably the “traditional” route for an NIL, it now appears to be an open season that that approaches straight payouts or subsidies with little expected in return other than performing ...
