Re: Transfer portal
Hunter Mays just entered the portal. Kyle Mosher from Columbia also -- maybe we pick him up? Mosher was 10-10 and ranked #37 by wrestlestat. Hard to believe Mays would boogie on account of him coming in. >>>>>>> I have no idea if Mosher is coming to LU. Just said he was in the portal and maybe we s...

"Scott Moore seems to be putting together a pretty good recruiting class to build around Wyatt Henson who came over last year, I think."

Re: Transfer portal
Good question.
IMO, this illustrates the challenges coaches face dealing with 17/18 year olds. They may be academically smart, but they are still emotionally under-developed. I think we can all recall L'Affaire de Grey prompting Greg Strobel to drop Cornell from the schedule.

Re: Speaking of NIL Collectives
Yes, something is amiss.......$200K doesn't exceed the salaries of the coaches that are giving that kind of money out. You don't notice App State, but you do notice Michigan. Listen, we can debate this all day long and twice on Sunday, but it's happening. To sign an elite grad transfer, this is what...

Re: Speaking of NIL Collectives
Absolutely correct. Plenty of money for wrestling. Lehigh fans focus on Lehigh, of course, but do we actually think we can compete with Michigan, VA Tech, Okla St, Iowa? When any of these power programs decide they want to go after something, they will swamp our boat every time. The money is signifi...

Re: Transfer portal
If anyone here was privy to the dollars that are involved for these elite 1-year grad students, you would blush. Lehigh doesn't swim in that pool. Offering a graduate program is a pipe dream for someone who is focused on winning a national title. They want a room where they can be challenged and yea...

Re: Transfer portal
One huge domino fell into place: Cardenas to Michigan.
Coach Bormet has a deft touch. Big pile of NIL cash and a track record. I would’ve much preferred anywhere but the Big 10.
McGonagle next up.
