Re: Offers. Round 2

I understand. I think my point though was that a freshman can start and have success. I am by no means promoting one QB over another. There are 4 already on the roster and frankly, there is very little for the casual fan to evaluate them on. Spring football may shed some light on the situation. What ...

Re: Bucknell

Sorry Rich, After re-reading my post it came off a bit strong. I think my point is that our offense is just fine IMHO. We are very good at shooting the 3 but frankly we don't do it very much. Reed seems to really stress getting the ball inside. I'm not sure if it is an effort problem or a schematic ...

Re: Injuries

In the case of softball, there was one injury (happenstance) and 2 serious illnesses. I talked to several coaches in different sports and they are pretty consistent in their belief that it is a lack of down time. Almost every sport seems to be a 12 month venture. When they aren't playing/practicing,...

Re: Injuries

It doesn't stop there. Softball has had some scares during the off-season. Hopefully, they will be ready by the time the season starts next week.

Re: Bucknell

Wow...how fickle we have become as fans. It wasn't too long ago when posters were complaining why the #1 3 point shooting team in the country was way down the list in # of 3 point shots attempted. For the record, we are #215 in 3 pt shots attempted in the NCAA. As for the question of what we do when...

Re: Offers. Round 2

Technically, the last freshman to start as QB for Lehigh goes all the way back to Brad Mayes :-) who started 2 games for an injured Shafnisky very successfully. Before that it goes back to Nick Shafnisky who started the big Colgate game and led Lehigh to victory.

Re: COMMIT #27

What's interesting to me is that his brother is 6-1 230# and will be an ILB at Florida. If he came here, we would make him a DE like every other 230#er. Just once I would would love that big body clogging up the running lanes up the middle. Just my thought.

Re: COMMIT #27

Great get...I'm giving TG and staff high marks for both quantity and quality especially considering the circumstances. I look forward to a full recruiting season next year.

Re: Offers. Round 2

Summerville seems to have all the tools although he is a bit on the short side. What's intriguing to me is that he got very little playing time in his first 2 years in HS. Then transfers to one of the top teams in the state and immediately starts. After adjusting to the new offense he throws 30 TD p...

Re: Bucknell Rumor

Exclude football for a second, from an all-around athletic standpoint, I would very much like to be in Bucknell's position. The President's Cup was established in 1990. Bucknell has won it 19 times. The Academies (primarily Navy) won all the others.
That's a lot of Patriot League Championships.
