Re: Starting line-up 2019-2020

And speaking of coaching acumen, are there now too many Brett's coaching in the Patriot league? In what appears to be a great get for The Cross, Brett Nelson has been named head coach of the Crusaders. Key player for Billy Donovan at Florida, years of moving up the the coaching ranks, and most rece...

Re: 2020 offers

Quick look at Stevie indicates plenty of competition for his basketball services. Write-up in the Allentown Morning Call from his tournament here put him in the company of Darren Hiillard and Jameer Nelson talent wise. Temple, VCU, Towson, Penn State, and La Salle all in with offers. He's also an e...

Re: 2020 offers

Been monitoring Verbal Commits for the class of 2020 offers/commits fairly closely. And completely missed a new commit for 2019...... Andrei Anon from Bucharest Romania.... Does anyone on the boards know anything about Andrei ? Some footage on YouTube, but almost nothing informational elsewhere.......

Re: 2020 offers spreadsheet

Bright is listed as Michael Bright Jr. Is there any chance that is is the son of Bucknell's star basketball player from the early '90s? Same name and the ages would be about right. TG and company have certainly put enough names on the radar and they aren't done yet. Getting their most coveted ones ...

Re: Trivia in a way

It's amazing how different things were 50 years ago. I think, although I'm not certain, that Bucknell's first black players were two who first played in 1969-70. Then they added a third (Elgin Baylor's nephew) the next year. During Jim Valvano's tenure (1972-75), he brought in six black recruits - p...

Re: Roster

I am envious. Bucknell's administration makes it virtually impossible for a player to return for a 5th year.

Re: PL playoffs

Most notable we beat Geffert who has owned us this year. As you will recall, in the regular season series, Geffert threw a no-hitter vs LU and was still pitching like the best pitcher in the PL. However she developed injury issues, struggled the rest of the year, and was actually dropped to the #2 ...

Re: PL playoffs

The tournament site was determined in an ugly, disgraceful fashion. Today's Bucknell-Boston game was supposed to decide the #1 seed and regular season championship. Game was rained out, with Monday - according to PL rules - being the makeup date. However Boston U opted to return home instead, saying...

Re: Matt Logie

Seems like a good spot for him. Coming into a winning situation at a higher level is rare - usually the programs willing to take a shot on a coach from a lower division are coming off a poor season. Clearly not the case here. If he can keep winning games at PLN, he will be well positioned to move t...
