Re: Fordham

Amazing run of games here, with each game's outcome determining first place. I agreed it is a 'read' scheme, but it only works if there is a real threat of a QB run. Monaco is not running. While he can 'move' a bit to move the pocket, he's not a running threat and the opponent's D knows it. Fordham ...

Re: wrestle offs

I am expecting some very close competition in our light weights. If Paetzel can get down and hold without losing stamina/strength, then he should be a lock and, imo, AA worthy. If not, he goes 133 and Reznick and Lane fight it out. Reznick showed a lot of promise last February-March. Farro can be "t...

Re: Fordham

No. But it certainly looked like a leg injury of some kind based upon Monaco's limp going off the field.

Re: Fordham

In the same vain, many of our runs seem poorly designed. The announcers mentioned several times that our running plays are very slow to develop. By the time the running back gets the ball and starts to move forward the defense is already converging on him. Nonetheless, it was a great win. We should...

Re: Connor Herceg

One never knows. Many wrestlers who went on to become AA's developed later and Lehigh has had a good track record of finding those overlooked due to not being elite stars in high school, but developing them into top notch D1 wrestlers. I think we have another LV kid from Emmaus (?) coming.

Re: Wrestle-offs--10/24

174 - 285 ...that includes 184, 197...a dash indicates inclusion. Will be interested to see if Karam has improved on his feet. He has the same issue that Randy Cruz and the Ciasullis had. Great on the mat but terrible from neutral. Hoping Jimmy Hoffman can make the cut to 141. Thanks. I didn't catc...

Re: Wrestle-offs--10/24

Although I completely agree that Ruth has a huge upside, Edmund indicated to me that he was going 174 which pretty much means a red-shirt is in his future. Ironically Logan has the same plans. I would think that both would really benefit from a red shirt . I think that is a good move. Timing with K...

Re: Lehigh Mid-Season Report: The Surprising Resurgence Of the Lehigh Defense

Yep, it's anyone's ball at this time. Who wants it the most? This could be they year with a few 4-2 teams tied for first. I don't thing the PL has yet had a "three-way", so the league may be exploring virgin territory with the tie-breakers. Too soon, but after the next couple weeks we should be able...

Re: Redshirting

A couple things. First, I know the Ivy's 'grey shirt' in wrestling, and my well do so in FB and BB. In greyshirting the student actually drops out of school for a year with a guaranteed slot t come back in. As for the PL, I think the big thing against redshirting is that many PL schools do not have ...

Re: Fordham

I watched the last quarter of the Fordham/Hoya game and while Mornat is a a physical specimen (must be about 6'5") and can throw forever, he was very erratic. He was on his game in the last drive when it counted, however. I think Coach K has to figure out multiple approaches to putting heavy pressur...
