Re: And the Head Coach Clock restarts. Tick-Tock....

So, I'll take us back to my earlier point ( a week ago), that we need someone as our HC that can recruit kids that have to pay tuition, and find us good players. Cecchini has to do that every day. He does it at half the school that Lehigh is, so imagine him selling walk-on status to Lehigh, when he ...

Re: And the Head Coach Clock restarts. Tick-Tock....

Has the recruited player can receive need aid changed? I understand it to be 60 scholarships, which can be broken up however the school likes. So, they are technically receiving a partial scholarship. HC and Colgate are using fin aid as a means of what they should offer kids, but it is a partial sch...

Re: And the Head Coach Clock restarts. Tick-Tock....

The way I understand it is if the school recruits him at all, he CANNOT receive any financial aid. The 60 scholarships are separate. If he had an academic scholarship, that was not based on anything from the football program, then he would be fine to walk on. I've been told by many in the program th...

Re: And the Head Coach Clock restarts. Tick-Tock....

The entire PL would have to go along with the guidelines for the scholarships/fin aid.. The Ivy League has made the decision that they will offer every student the same package, so that is why they can offer as many kids as they do, the way they do. I talked to Joe at one of the games, and he said t...

Re: The Official "Who Will Be The Next Lehigh Head Coach?" Thread

That is correct. Still in phone interview stage. My last point was that we need someone that will be here for more than 3 years. I actually used Higgins and Coen as examples of long standing coaches, that had success. Everyone knows that coaches want to move up. Hire someone that will be here for a ...

Re: The Official "Who Will Be The Next Lehigh Head Coach?" Thread

Something you all are not considering with these candidates you are "hoping" for.... They are at FBS or high level FCS programs. Very few Patriot League Head Coaches end up Head Coaches at FBS level. Most of those guys, unless there is a compelling reason to come back to a place like Lehigh, are goi...

Re: Coach watch

Lehigh should NEVER consider running the triple option... It is and always will be a place where we have great QB play. We do need to build the talent in the locker room, and Dave Cecchini is a guy that can get it done. He turned around Valpo, with no scholarships, and turned a losing program into a...
