Re: BU 18. Loyola 11

Unfortunately we have not been competitive with Loyola except for a one goal loss several years back and the first half of last year's Patriot League final. We have had no answers for containing Spencer and our offense under performs when we play them. Loyola is not a particularly good defensive tea...

Re: RMU

Not sure why it would be a trap game. Can't imagine they were looking ahead to St. Bonaventure. A disappointing effort plain and simple at both ends. Not sure how you win 24 of 29 face offs and lose even when their goalie had a big game. The offense has gotten sloppy and continues to turn the ball o...

Re: Loyola

I did not realize that Hagenberger (Bouhall’s replacement) left the game due to a knee injury. Apparently he is scheduled for an MRI today but may also have suffered an ACL or MCL injury. How many knee injuries can this team have?

Re: Loyola

Yes, but unfortunately we lose a very talented class to graduation as well - our starting close defense and a good chunk of our scoring. This was supposed to be the year until the ridiculous number of injuries. Secure the second seed in the PL tournament and hopefully get one more shot at Loyola.

Re: Loyola

I was traveling over the weekend and was only able to catch the start of the game and they fell behind 3-0 within the first few minutes. A little surprised that they played Spencer straight up with the freshman Hagenburger. Talk about a tough assignment. To beat Loyola, Lehigh needed to win the face...

Re: BU

Yes, BU is a good team and I can't help but think they might have looked ahead to next Saturday a little bit. They definitely were hanging on in the 4th quarter and if not for Spence, it could have been a different game. They also turn the ball over too much despite the six game winning streak. If t...

Re: Navy

I think we are better than Loyola defensively despite the loss of Bouhall and Spence’s play in goal has been as good or better than Stover’s. On paper, we should have a decided advantage at x and despite the loss of Pettit, this year’s offense moves the ball better than any Lehigh team since the 201...

Re: Navy

Yes, there are certainly a lot of similarities between the wrestling and lacrosse teams. Both entered their respective seasons with high expectations and national rankings. Injuries resulted in tough starts for both programs and forced freshmen and sophomores into action before expected. Losing play...

Re: Navy

Lehigh sleep walked through the first half but caught fire in the second. Impressive offensive effort. Lucas Spence is an absolute warrior and James Spence has been tremendous in goal during this winning streak. The defense played so well that the absence of LSM Teddy Leggett due to a concussion was...

Re: Lafayette

The good news is that a number of this year’s #8 ranked recruiting class are seeing a lot of meaningful minutes against very tough competition which bodes well for future seasons. When you lose two All Patriot League players (top returning scorer and best cover guy) that is hard to replicate. This t...
