Re: Lafayette

Lehigh did a nice job not looking past an overmatched Lafayette squad. Only negative was the seven penalties. Tough stretch of games coming up with Navy, BU and Loyola. Navy got crushed by Loyola over the weekend so Saturday’s game just got tougher for the Hawks. Navy needed no additional motivation...

Re: Lehigh 13. Rutgers 10

Need to take care of the Pards first and a few others before they start thinking about Loyola! Impressive win. Certainly can’t question this team’s heart and toughness. Young Spence has really stepped up his play in goal and was the difference against Rutgers considering Lehigh was on the short end ...

Re: Lehigh 11 16/17 AWP 8

Lehigh moves back into the national rankings at #16! Would be nice to take down another top 20 team in Rutgers tomorrow night!

Re: Lehigh 11 16/17 AWP 8

Truly a team effort. Having Spence back the last two games has been huge but credit to the freshman Kirst and Schelling who both stepped up big today. Gaffney continues to be a monster and the defense looked very good again. Spence has also stepped up his play in goal. Nice to start PL play at 2-0 a...

Re: LU. 10. -Colgate. (#16) 8

Good to see Spence back in the line up. We needed him 3G & 2A. Huge win to start Patriot League play. Gaffney was the difference today. Need to keep it going against Army next week!

Re: Another 4th Quarter Collapse

Great 1st quarter and then the offense started to force too many passes. Again, turnovers did them in. Also I question their defensive strategy not to shut off Teat. He was a first team All-American last year and Cornell’s offense runs through him. Lehigh chose to match Chick up with him one on one ...

Re: UVA 11. LU. 8

The only player of the seven that I heard was academically ineligible is Sisselberger, the freshman FOGO. Not sure if it is for the entire season. Spence and McHugh were injured in the Hofstra game. Regarding the remaining four, I would assume that it is academic issues since none of them I believe ...

Re: UVA 11. LU. 8

The team battled the whole game given the tough circumstances. Losing your top two scorers would be hard for any team to overcome. Moving the game up a day I think disrupted their preparation/routine, which given the long trip, contributed to the outcome. While the effort was there, at the end of th...

Re: Injuries

Pettit tore ACL in practice. Done for the year. Not sure what Spence's injury is but he was on the sideline in a warm up suit walking around at the UVA game. Game effort by the squad today but over 20 turnovers did them in especially in the second half. Had two freshman at attack and one on the star...
