Re: Ivies allowing Grad Students for 2021-22

The ground shook. The earth moved. The Ivies reversed a decision and dodged lawsuits. Cornell's wrestling room may need more ... room. They may have to have A and B squads wrestling. Hey, it worked for Ringling Bros; except the unit with Gunther never came to this area. Well, even if you never get ...

Re: Pre-allocated spots

The EIWA received 45, about as expected. It's technically 10 + 35 -- 10 automatics for the champions, 35 that will be awarded but have to be earned by wrestlers with a minimum four bouts at weight. 125: 3 133: 3 141: 5 149: 4 157: 5 165: 5 174: 5 184: 6 197: 5 285: 4 At EIWAs true 4th (149, 285) an...

Army-Navy Wrestling

For those interested, it appears that there will be free video coverage of tomorrow's dual scheduled for 6 p.m. Go to the Navy schedule on their wrestling site and you'll see a link to the video.

Re: Taking Stock

Are we to assume Bryant can’t beat the other 157’s “in the room”.....seems strange we haven’t see him at least once with all the lineup changes that have gone on between 149 and 165 while he still wrestles “extra” matches Bryant won 9-2 against Navy, got a quick pin against LIU and got a pin agains...

Re: Meyer

To me, Meyer's has looked noticeably smaller than his last two opponents. Trying to get down to 157 but can't quite make it? Is there anything in the rules, esp. his certified weight, which would prevent him from going 157 at the EIWAs if he can make the weight by then?

Re: LU v Rider

Well, I hinted above that LU might be better off if Rider cancelled. Losing to Rider with a pin from Lane?
Good thing Cornell isn't wrestling this season. LU might win one match against them. Sacred Heart still has an open date next Saturday. Maybe the team can pick up a win against them.

About three hours of light in the winter and three of dark in the summer.

Re: LU v Rider

Got to be 60-65 below in Fairbanks in the winter. When it got up to 20 below (Anchorage winter temp) we thought it was springtime.

Hey, Spladle, don't be so snooty. I spent two winters in Fairbanks, Alaska and we would have been running around in t-shirts in what you call winter. :)

LU v Rider

Optimistic that, notwithstanding the snowstorm, this dual will take place. Figure that Rider, if they were coming, will have had to have left by now so, since I don't see anything about cancellation on LU Wrestling twitter, they've crossed the Rubicon.
