Re: Claire Steele

To your point, Steele didn't play last night against Villanova and Lehigh lost a winnable game. Steele's absence (with some kind of injury) left the team vulnerable to the press Villanova used in the 4th quarter. Coach Troyan pretty much said with Steele at the point, Lehigh's big lead would not hav...

Re: 2022 Football Schedule

In the modern era (since 2004) Lehigh is 1-10 against Villanova. The only win was Andy Coen's first win in 2006.
Villanova is not a measure of "how far we've fallen." One win in eleven games means we've never been on their level

Re: Lafayette

Yes, let's celebrate the win over Lafayette. It snaps a two-game losing against that team. Let's also acknowledge that Lehigh has made progress. The last five weeks this team was much better than the first six. Colgate and Holy Cross are probably the teams to beat next year but I like Lehigh's chanc...

Re: NJIT....game#2

They has a 6 point lead early, but once NJIT got the lead it never relinquished it. The closest Lehigh got in the second half was 6. Lehigh was terrible from three and not much better from inside. They had a lot of turnovers and were also in foul trouble throughout. All in all you were better off in...

Re: Bucknell

Interesting discussion. From my viewpoint, Saturday's win (over an admittedly bad team) was the culmination of several weeks of progress. If they keep getting better each week, winning out is a real possibility. Does that erase the bad football we watched the first six weeks of the season? No, but a...

Re: Demand Accountability. Letters to President Heible
So Covid only contributed negatively to programs that were regressing in Spring 2019, but helped programs that were improving? I’d love to hear the logic behind that statement.
The pandemic helped no program. But it hurt programs on the downside more than those on the upside. Holy ...

Re: Demand Accountability. Letters to President Heible

A college football program, at any level, is an ocean liner. Turning it around will take time. The program's downside precedes this coaching staff. The pandemic is a real contributor. If your program was on the downside in March 2019, you kept going down. If you were going up, you kept going up. New...

Re: Penn

On paper, this is a winnable game for Lehigh. But...it may take the defense and/or special teams to score.
A kickoff return for a touchdown was called back because of a penalty last week. They were that close

Re: It's West Virginia

A 13 seed! That's outstanding for a team that was seeded 4th in the Patriot League Tournament.
They're playing well right now. I hope they show WVU how good they are
