Re: EIWA Darkhorses

>>>>>>>>>The guys that will be seeded in the top 3 are not dark horses in my book. On a side note, Hopefully the seeding process will be significantly improved from last year’s fiasco. If past years' results aren't taken into account, there's no way to account for a veteran wrestler recovering from...

Re: 2025 EIWA Championships

Probably because the issue isn't number of mats or size, it's "Who can host the EIWAs now that Cornell, Penn, and Princeton won't be in the conference?". Making Stabler the permanent site isn't going to fly. Some of the posters are thinking out loud, realizing that the forest has to be mad...

I was going for just one guy at each weight. Besides, I've already posted that Wilt is one upset away from KC.

If you've got some nice property on Lake Champlain that you're giving away, I'm up for that: https://www.visit-vermont.com/state/beaches/

Re: EIWA Darkhorses

Five former champs and a runner-up who also took 3rd are dark horses? I'll go along with Swisher, who spent much of the season at 157. He should be a factor at 149. Not sure any of the others are obscure enough to qualify as dark horses. I was thinking along similar lines earlier, but I was looking ...

Re: 2025 EIWA Championships

From my vantage point, even if we add a 12th team, the Conference will be about 1/3 smaller and will attract about 40% less fans. There will be no more than 4 bouts at each weight in any Championship round. There will be no more than 4 bouts per weight class in any consolation round. So how big of ...

Re: 2025 EIWA Championships

When you think about it, splitting the Ivies off makes it ever so slightly easier for wrestlers from the Ivy/EIWA to earn at-large bids. One of the criteria to be considered for the at-larges is finishing one spot out of the automatic qualifiers at the conference tourneys. Right now that means 10 EI...

Re: 2024 Allocations

These are the likely earners of the pre-allocated spots, by future conference and team. Not sure about one of the spots at 125, hence the halves. Future EIWA (29-1/2) Lehigh 7 : Stanich, Crookham, Hines, Griffin, Brignola, Beard, Taylor American 1 : Maida Army 4-1/2 : Berginc?, Williams, Filipowicz,...

Maybe it was SEC that had, briefly 5. or MAC
Wasn't the Big 12 down to five for awhile?
