Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Roster

Post by RichH » Fri May 18, 2018 10:05 pm

Rister updated. We are at 59 players. Plus 15 commits and 4 PWOs.
Gone
Nick T
Gamble
Hawkinson
Connolly
Duke
Gies
Micco
Prendergast moved from DE to TE.
So Preseason camp roster looks to be at most in the low 80s.

Sure. The 4 WOs we know about are recruited PWOs. We usually get a few more true WOs. How much that will help is problematic.
IMO, the real key for us, besides avoiding a raft of injuries, is the performance of our seniors. Other than Mayes and Bragalone, the class has had very little impact on the program. Kelsey to stay healthy. Bianchini to take a WR spot. O'Carroll step up at OT.
On D. Harris and Montgomery stay healthy. Lynn, Morrow and Kauffman step up on DL.

I noticed that Motley is now listed at 6-5 315#. That is almost the same dimensions as Mt. Duffy.
The OL will dictate exactly how effective our skill players will perform this year.

Think so also. Spring was shaky with Bandy and lots of slots to fill. Rosen Evans Fournier plus return of Curlin leaves us in a pretty good spot tho.

Hope Nicky T is OK recovering from his neck injury. Nicky T and Hawkinson seem to be injury-related.

Serious question: if a player is injured and not on the roster, at Lehigh, is his scholarship still honored through four years?

Yes.. Joe usually will give them a job somewhere in AD if they are able. Same goes for those on aid who quit teams.

Saw some recent photos. Seems OK but have no info on rehab progress.

Roster updated adding frosh.
Roster is 78. 3 of the 4 WOs are included. Collins, Eighmy and Garrity. The missing may be a change of mind; paperwork delay or not admitted.
I hope for 5 or 6 more prior to season. Not optimistic for that given prior years but what do I know. This year's recruiting strategy completely unlike prior years.
If roster stays constant, we could go into next year's rscruiting cycle needing 35 or so to reach 90 roster cap. May be part of the impetus to push early recruiting offers this year.
