Re: Merrimack
Really hoping the OL gives the offense room to work. I didn't get to see any of the UC Davis game but based on what I saw against 'Nova, Lehigh was not outclassed athletically. This team has speed and athletes which is why it's so frustrating to watch at times. I'm hoping some of the skill guys can get in space in make things happen on offense. On defense they have to stop giving up the big play. The secondary is too experienced and too talented to have numerous coverage mistakes a game.
Re: Merrimack
Not cocky at all...a bit of joke to call them a NEC team their first year as a D1 program. “DII rules”...moving up is a process not a one year makeover. SFU beat MC by 28 and MC was down by three touchdowns late against CCSU...so not at close as your glimpse at the score would suggest. VAN you go ahead and be happy with 14-10, which is precisely what I said in my last post. There is no vision for greatness...which included many on this forum.van wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 12:06 pm LUFAN, prepare to be disappointed, not sure we have beaten a NEC team by 4 scores since they went scholarship, maybe four extra points but not four touchdowns, Merrimack may be in transition but they are no longer under DII rules and took CCSU to the limit, we should be favored and win comfortably, a loss would be a huge let down but win by 4 scores is way to cocky

Re: Merrimack
If this game is close it says far more about Lehigh's place in FCS than it does Merrimack. The only reason this game is close is if Lehigh is one of the 15-20 worse teams in FCS and very little if any progress is being made. I think many of us here are in awe that Lehigh can sink that far in the dumps.News wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 9:22 am Tailgate report for Merrimack:

Re: Merrimack
This is awful Rich! Monaco gets pulled, Shoup throws what was thought to be an 81 yard TD. Ruled knee was down at 1 (nearly a fumble) then 3 plays where Lehigh loses 3 yards and misses a 23 yard FG. That's pathetic execution and football....
