Colgate

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Notes up.
No real changes just a bit of shuffling on 2 deep.
Awaiting Gate notes.

Monaco at QB, wonder how short the leash is? Seems to have the better arm and good grasp of the offense, but accuracy is lacking

I think TG is coaching with a 'long view' and this will be Monaco's last shot to show he can do it. If not, then I see the leash pulled and Shoup be given the reins. His mobility in avoiding the rush is important given the status of OL. I am heartened by the defensive intensity and much better tackling. We're not getting manhandled, and forcing a lot of 3d downs, but some execution on that down has been wanting. I see a tight contest with Colgate, as I think with all the PL games the rest of the way. I agree about the concerns over the play calling and formations used at the goal line.

I could agree on this score and logic. Could be a missed PAT in there ...

Intense Colgate/Lehigh Rivalry Sees Raiders And Mountain Hawks Trying To Start League Play On Right Foot - The College Sports Journal

http://www.college-sports-journal.com/i ... ight-foot/

To Colgate fans, Lehigh is returning to the scene of the crime this weekend.

That’s because the Raiders’ last Patriot League conference loss came to Lehigh on their home field, Andy Kerr Stadium, two years ago back on October 7th, 2017.

Outside of The Rivalry, the next best 'rivalry' game in the league. I think either Lehigh or Colgate have won the PL 22 of the 33 years of league existence. Colgate should be favored at home, but I think the erstwhile Engineers are capable of winning this one if they play a clean game.
