Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Georgetown

Post by TMH » Sun Oct 20, 2019 1:50 pm

Georgetown looks to be the most crucial game for Lehigh throughout the rest of the season. At least in regard to opponents residing more than 10 miles away.

For those who are considering coming in for the big game since it appears to be a big weekend on campus consider staying for the Lehigh-Lafayette soccer match at 6:00. Lehigh is 5-0-1 in the PL and the win would go a long way to securing the #1 seed in the PL tournament which means a bye and home field advantage throughout.

one thing for sure, gotta account for QB running, DE must set the edge and LBs need to close at proper angles, shut him down and we can win

Yes, Holy Cross has a team that can certainly beat us if not fully prepared.

Notes up.

Shoup starting. Beesmer at 2

Hill starting. Allen at 2
Not sure whether Shoup starting is a minus or a plus. Hopefully the later.

Hill has earned the top spot.
Addison does not have TM's arm but he can run and effectively use Run/Option plays.

if Brisson adjusts the game plan to Shoups strengths, I like our chances, we can limit Hoyas O if we play smart

Notes last week said Bibbons not playing. I would highly recommend not believing notes...Its a smoke-screen for all coaches. Wish I knew the twos and threes like you guys do.lol

Bibbens was hurt the week before, was probably a game time decision at Fordham, our notes have been pretty accurate all year

Lehigh, like most teams, has a lot of players dinged at this time of the season. Asking a coach to provide a depth chart 4 or 5 days prior to the game is pretty much a crap shoot. Gilmore was very hopeful Bibbens would be available for Fordham but far from certain.

Bibbens took a massive hit in the Colgate game. Just glad Lehigh had the second bye this season. If he's not available against the Rams Lehigh loses that game. The kid is a helluva player.

I think Lehigh can win/lose with Monaco or Shoup. Addison has played well imo when given the chance this season. He's done it at crucial times which is great experience for the back-up. The Hoya defense is really good. Brisson needs to attack them. If the Mountain Hawks become predictable they won't move the ball/score.
