2020 Recruiting Class

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

With signing day over I would love to hear your thoughts on the 2020 class.

My question:
Is it really over? February 5 was the initial signing date but the signing period doesn't end until April 1.
Someone mentioned that TG said on a radio broadcast that 9 more are coming but haven't signed yet. Should I assume they are all non-scholarship players or simply awaiting admissions approval?

The early signing period had 12 players and now 8 more announced. With all the defections, I thought we were looking for a lot more bodies. Perhaps this staff has elected to give more full rides than in the past limiting the # of scholarship offers he has available.

I'm sure that there is a lot more to this than I can wrap my head around. :-)

I think the class is strong- good effort by staff. The defense should be even better with new guys and a year of experience with their belt. I don't understand why we recruit so many TEs and QBs. Only one each can get on the field at a time. Can't wait for spring game!

actually we do run 2 TE sets on occasion, and TEs can fit in if we ever run a FB

we are aware of a # of verbals that have not yet been formally signed, probably little of no more football grants and they are walk ons, and recruiting is not yet over

my experience is when a lot of kids are recruited for one position the coaching staff is indirectly saying they are not happy with who they have. qb is a major concern. not enough o-line recruits. defense looks decent especially on the line. 4-7. te's are recruited to protect the qb and also if we cannot land enough wide outs. only time will tell. every offensive lineman should be on a full scholarship...

It would be nice to have all our OL on full rides but an impossible dream. We return 12 including Rosen. 2 A-S PL plus a WO player are coming in. Some of our OL are on full rides. Skill players on both O and D are much more intensely recruited. Hence more fulls wind up there.
