2020 lineup

Re: 2020 lineup
I think we have the pieces if TG and staff can get the units functioning.
On O we have excellent skill players for a decent QB to use. As usual the issue is the OL. We return everybody. Gotta hope the new OL coach is able to put together a cohesive unit. QB is Beesmer's spot. He doesnt have to be a game changer just an efficient manager. A bonus that he can run.
D lost some excellent players but we also return a lot of excellent players. Plus we get Norris and Kircher back.

Re: 2020 lineup
I think the QB spot is wide open, Beesmer and Shoup both had bright spots in limited duty and both need more seasoning, we know very little about Summerville but he is reported to be athletic and has a strong arm, and then there is the incoming FR, and possibly the rumored transfer, but agree with Rich, a QB that manages the game and takes care of the ball is all we need to be successful
Re: 2020 lineup
Mobility is must at this level. No way around it. There is no LSU type front 5 in PL so QB has to have pocket presence and ability to run....in both pass and run game. I’d disagree with “game manager” thoughts and say Lehigh needs a playmaker outside the pocket. Would love to know the source of these “reports”?van wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 7:48 pm I think the QB spot is wide open, Beesmer and Shoup both had bright spots in limited duty and both need more seasoning, we know very little about Summerville but he is reported to be athletic and has a strong arm, and then there is the incoming FR, and possibly the rumored transfer, but agree with Rich, a QB that manages the game and takes care of the ball is all we need to be successful
Re: 2020 lineup
And I would say that pocket presence is part of game management, as well as knowing when to hand off and when to keep, decision making is key for QB
Re: 2020 lineup
Lehigh has settled for a "Game Manager" QB for several years.
It would be nice for a Game Changer for once.
