Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

When the Patriot League preseason all-league selections were released Thursday morning, it wasn’t a surprise that Lehigh’s defense had no one saluted.

While running back Dominic Bragalone was chosen as preseason offensive player of the year, quarterback Brad Mayes was the all-league QB and sophomore lineman Chris Fournier also was selected, the defense was ignored.

Considering how bad Lehigh's defense was in 2017, it would be hard for them to NOT be improved.

A problem ,particularly given the size of our senior class. We may pick up a few true WOs prior to the season but injuries anywhere near the number last year could be lethal. Poses an even larger problem for next year. We need to bring in at least 25 recruits, hopefully a few more than that. Likely means a lot of partials and WOs again.

I hesitate to say our D couldnt get worse. I've said that a lot over the last 4 years and been wrong each time  . I do think that D will be better if not necessarily really good. Dont think our O will score as many points tho without Casey and Pelletier. We'll see.

IMO The only way defense will improve is if positions are earned not given.
