Colgate

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

One last chance to improve before The Big One. Notes have been up. Depth chart largely unchanged from last week. Wonder if we'll see more Jamiel or if he'll be on the shelf for The Big One.

Lehigh At Colgate Game Preview And Fearless Prediction, 11/11/2023: Surging Raiders And Improving Mountain Hawks Meet In Hamilton To Measure Their Progress

Image
The Mountain Hawks will be going in with an eye of being a spoiler to Colgate’s title and championship ambitions, which suit them just fine. To them, ruining the seasons of Colgate and Lafayette in consecutive weeks would constitute a successful season for a rebuilding Lehigh football team.

Yep, I like Chuck's prognostication. This should be a good ol' slobberknocker on the tundra. Wear your long-johns!

This is a poor effort in every respect.

Does anybody on the field or sideline care?

Lehigh can’t blame Gilmore forever.

Not forever, but certainly can this year. 3/4 of the team spent three years in a less-than-ideal cultural environment under Gilmore.

The next question is...

Which QB starts against Laughy-Yet?

The only way to describe today's game vs Colgate is annihilation. One of the worst beat downs I have seen in my many years of watching LU Football. And against a team with a losing record, and a Freshman QB starting his first game. His passes were on target and on time. Compare that with Silbor (who I hope is OK) whose passes haven't been either all season.....and he's not at all mobile, throws interceptions, and has bad judgement with the ball. I have no Idea why Cahill insists on starting him over Perri who owns a better QB rating than Silbor, and performed pretty well in the second half against Colgate Throw in multiple penalties, bad tackling, inability to score with a first down on the one foot line, and you have a disaster. I do not think Lehigh can be a very good football team without bringing in a much better QB.

So far, I don't think the current coaching staff has proven itself any better than Gilmore and his team. And the new staff has contributed to at two losses....Fordham and Holy Cross.

Cahill and staff have been a flop. Ten games in and no improvement, save a few guys. No fire in the belly or will to win. Sterrett is now 0-2 on coaching selections. The stands will be empty very early next Saturday for sure. Totally disgusting.
