Morning Call: Lehigh's Offense Could Be Its Best Defense against Villanova
http://www.mcall.com/sports/college/mc- ... story.html
“We won,” coach Andy Coen said. “I really don’t care what it looks like. It had been a long time since we won the opener. We needed that.”
The biggest positive was the defense. After giving up 41 points, 242 yards rushing and 478 total yards per game in 2017, the Mountain Hawks held St. Francis to 19 points, 58 yards rushing and 300 total yards.
The defense had 10 tackles for loss, a sack and an interception.
It wasn’t the second coming of the Steel Curtain or Doomsday Defense, but it was a start.
But now the degree of difficulty skyrockets.

Villanova got a big 254-yard, three-touchdown performance by senior quarterback Zach Bednarczyk against Temple. Senior tight end Ryan Bell had nine catches for 81 yards and a TD. Bednarczyk, the Colonial Athletic Association offensive player of the week, was injured last season, a big reason why the Wildcats lost four of their last five games after a 4-2 start.

interesting that Nova game notes show Jackson Evans starting at Center but Lehigh game notes show Wagner starting, Nova know something out coaches don't know?
they also list some differences in OL back ups, this is weird, do coaches exchange line ups? where would they get this intel?

CSJ: Villanova at Lehigh Preview: The Importance of Regional Rivalries
http://www.college-sports-journal.com/v ... rivalries/
For Lehigh, games against Villanova have been a valuable opportunity to test themselves against a team that has not all that long ago won an NCAA FCS National Championship, and most years have been nationally ranked in the FCS Top 25.
And for the Wildcats, Lehigh has been the regional rival (with a little r) that they have mostly been able to handle over the years – winning six of the last seven contests, though their last two meetings were determined by a grand total of eight points.
It has resulted in the blossoming of a regional rivalry that has been, for the most part, good, entertaining football, especially in the last few years.

I hope this is a competitive game and no one gets hurt. After last week's squeaker, as nice of a win it was, "hope" is how I feel.
Maybe I'm underestimating how good SFU is.
And I just watched a ranked FCS team blow out an unranked FCS team on cable, so maybe I'm in a bad frame of mind.
I'm reluctant to post a predicted score; don't want to have everyone jump on me. I think it will be wider than spread. Hope I'm wrong.
