Bucknell

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Only fair that I congratulate Lehigh for destroying Bucknell. Would love to see them carry that effort into the last two games.

As far as the screen pass, some penetration is key to making it successful. With a bad offensive line, the Giants at least found a way to get the ball to Barkley in space through the passing game.
Part of it is certainly play calling but I also wonder if the QB gets through all his reads to find the TE and RB.
I don't think the coaching staff can handle using the RB or TE in this manor. It's the same thing year after year. Maybe this is a very long term plan to ensure the rest of the League is comfortable that we will not throw the the RB or TE so in some game in the future when we do it will be mind blowing. :o If I were Colgate I would not even bother to line anyone up across from the TE. Not sure why we have them.

we have used the TE and RB in the pass game in years past, just not much in the past 2 years, this year I think due to concern over OL

Perhaps ror this season van. Last year we had an excellent OL. . Brisson is basically. running Folmar's spread O. It targets WRs almost exclusively.

well to be fair, if my 3 WRs are Troy, Gatlin and Jorge, I am not throwing much to TEs, I think Brags did get some thrown his way last year

Fun fact:
I don't know about targets but it's been a long time that either the RB or TE caught much more than 1 pass/game. However, in 2015, Paulsen and Bragalone were #1 and 2 in yards/catch. In 2017, only Christiano's limited action avg exceeded either Paulsen and Bragalone. Brags had 4 TDs from his 13 receptions.
When they choose to do it, it's usually successful and it really spreads the defense out for the WRs.

I'm off my soapbox :-)
