so what is wrong with our D?
A. we don't have the athletes
B. our scheme sucks
C. position coaches can't teach
D. all of the above

Personally, I don't think anyone on this board knows for sure unless they attend the practices. I "think" we have very good athletes but they often seem out of position. Is that because the scheme is bad, they put themselves out of position or they were being "horsed" out of position. I don't know.
Defense to me is a mental psychologically process. Whether the toughness is where it needs to be, again I don't know. The sidelines seem so subdued though. I think the defense needs a fresh approach. New faces with a new attitude that can recruit the right people into a scheme that utilizes our talents. When we do the same thing over and over with bad results, the entire psyche gets drained.

Talent on D is better. I dont know what needs to be done. My hope is that Joe hires the right HC wh will take the actions necessary to fix the D and the O.
