We were up 3-1 when I left. Now down 4-3 with 2 minutes left. I know Hofstra not a cupcake but what the hell??

I watched only a bit of the game but what happened to the O, barely got a shot off on many possessions

So much for the #13 ranking. Offense MIA. Again no Pettit and Lucas Spence went out in the 3Q with a leg injury and did not return. Wasted a terrific defensive effort but too many turnovers and empty possessions ultimately put too much pressure on the D and led to a very bad loss. UVA got smoked by Loyola earlier in the day so it is going to be an even tougher road game next week in Virginia. The Patriot League is going to be a grind as always. Colgate beat Syracuse in the dome on Friday so if LU doesn't get their act together, they are looking at a 1-3 start before they hit March. Quite honestly, it is BS with all the secrecy around Pettit's status. Either he is going to play or isn't so which is it? They clearly miss him and if Spence is out as well, they are toast. The freshman have talent but aren't ready for prime time yet as evidenced by all the turnovers today. Very disappointing!

Agreed. No doubt Cassesse will give a brutally honest post game. This game should have been a test not a Loss. Preseason hype is gone. We have to earn our Ws. Our attack s/n/b so fragile that it collapses with one player is out. Unfortunate only 2 games in and we have to make up ground already.

Spence is the distributor and makes the offense go. Pettit and Rai are finishers but without Pettit in the line up, opposing defenses don't need to key on him. Rai was invisible today. Eichelberger as well. Lehigh doesn't have anyone up top that can beat their man and force a slide. Hard to see where the goals are going to come from!

I get our attack is set up. Kinda surprised that it falls apart.tho. Well, guess we'd better pray he is back for UVA.

I saw most of the second half. What I did see was that Hofstra's defense was stifling. Not have about 3/4 of your firepower can help make it look that way though.

Hofstra's defense played a very good game no doubt. They packed it in tight and when Lehigh got a shot off it was usually off cage or low percentage. Their goalie made 14 saves. Spence made 16 and we still lost. Unfortunately Lehigh is going to see a few defenses down the road that are better than Hofstra's. Hope the injuries to Spence and McHugh are not serious.

Well, that was quick. Lehigh dropped right out of the rankings. Ugh.
