Another 4th Quarter Collapse
Another 4th Quarter Collapse
Granted, the team is missing some major fire power. But the way both UVA and Corny stepped up in the fourth quarter and we had no response must be concerning. Both losses to very good teams, but top teams in the PL are not far behind. Hopefully, help arrives in some form soon.
Re: Another 4th Quarter Collapse
Great 1st quarter and then the offense started to force too many passes. Again, turnovers did them in. Also I question their defensive strategy not to shut off Teat. He was a first team All-American last year and Cornell’s offense runs through him. Lehigh chose to match Chick up with him one on one which did not work out so well. Last year, teams that shut him off and denied him the ball had much more success. I would also say that our goalie play needs to be better to win games against these better teams. I was unable to watch the entire game so cannot comment on the quality of shots Cornell was getting but when your save percentage is below 40%, you are going to have problems. Spence had a career game against Hofstra but was out played vs. UVA and Cornell. With so much offensive fire power out of the line up, the pressure on the defense becomes that much more significant. Giving up 7 goals to anybody in the 4th quarter is disappointing.
