Final Loyola 15-9
We fell behind 9-0 before we got up to Loyola's game speed. Outscored them 9-6 thereafter. Of course one could say Loyola took a foot off the gas but what the hell I aint saying that. :D

I was traveling over the weekend and was only able to catch the start of the game and they fell behind 3-0 within the first few minutes. A little surprised that they played Spencer straight up with the freshman Hagenburger. Talk about a tough assignment. To beat Loyola, Lehigh needed to win the face off battle and control possessions which did not happen. For some reason, Gaffney does not match up well with the FOGO from Loyola who was winning less than 50% of his draws coming into the game. The same thing happened in last year’s regular season game against Loyola. Hopefully, Lehigh will get another shot at them in the PL tournament finals. They need to secure second place in the conference and get a first round bye. BU’s win over Army yesterday helped. I think one more win against Bucknell or Holy Cross should be enough although they should win both those games. Some day we will beat that team but it may not be until Spencer graduates,

If my count right, Loyola losing 10 seniors including Spencer. ;)

Yes, but unfortunately we lose a very talented class to graduation as well - our starting close defense and a good chunk of our scoring. This was supposed to be the year until the ridiculous number of injuries. Secure the second seed in the PL tournament and hopefully get one more shot at Loyola.

I did not realize that Hagenberger (Bouhall’s replacement) left the game due to a knee injury. Apparently he is scheduled for an MRI today but may also have suffered an ACL or MCL injury. How many knee injuries can this team have?
