2019-20 Out of Conference Schedule
Re: 2019-20 Out of Conference Schedule
If it's a replacement game for what was once to be a trip
to the great Northwest to face Washington, we didn't do bad at all. The St. Mary's University Gaels out of the WCC finished 22 and 12 last year and ended up 31st in KenPom's final ranking. Whereas, Washington closed out the 18-19 campaign with a 27-9 record and finished 48th on KP' finale report.

Re: 2019-20 Out of Conference Schedule
So we are now half way through September and no official schedule release. There have been drips and drabs from the team twitter account, but is this a national secret? Or some sort of promotional effort with free tickets to whomever correctly guesses the official schedule?
Maybe some dates are still unsettled..... Just getting antsy to plan road trips. Princeton for sure.

with the trips and drabs there are not many dates unknown

The schedule: https://lehighsports.com/schedule.aspx?schedule=467
Only games we didn’t catch were @Drake on 11/21 and 2 tune up games

With two D3 games they must have had a hard time filling the schedule. Again the question on the D3 games though; Moravian, Muhlenberg, Desales, KSU, and ESU were not available?
Addition of Drake on the road will be a real test against a historically good mid-major program. Hopefully we get a return game in the future.

Looks like they found it impossible to find home games. Their game with Misericordia is being treated as an exhibition game by Misericordia, but I imagine LU will count it as an official game. Hope they won't charge for it. Cairn may well be an exhibition as well from Cairn's perspective, but their schedule has not been posted yet to check.

Yikes, eight D1 OOC road games and two D1 OOC home games?!?! That's rough.
On the plus side, games @ Drake and Saint Mary's are interesting. I'm sure they don't provide the paydays of the Power 5 games but they are equally interesting to me as a fan, if not moreso.

I see that Cairn is also treating their game with LU as an exhibition, as is Misericordia. Now the question is which game will LU call an exhibition. Can't count both of them as real games or they are over the limit of games.

Although LU has refused to comment on the scheduling issues, I think I've figured out what is going on. A website has recently listed a so-called Sacramento Classic that was patch-worked together to allow some team to play extra games under the guise of a multi-team event. Due to this format, LU gets to play 30 total games, instead of the normal limit of 29. This "tournament" apparently now consists of:
Sun., Nov. 10
Winthrop Eagles (Big South) at Fresno State Bulldogs (MW), 5 p.m. (MWN)
Mon., Nov. 11
Winthrop at Saint Mary’s Gaels (WCC), 9 p.m.
Tue., Nov. 12
Cairn (non-D1) at Lehigh Mountain Hawks (Patriot), 7 p.m.
Sat., Nov. 16
Mid-Atlantic Christian (non-D1) at Winthrop, 4 p.m.
Mon., Nov. 18
Misericordia (non-D1) at Lehigh, 7:30 p.m.
Wed., Nov 20
Fresno State vs. Saint Mary’s at Sacramento, 11 p.m. (ESPNU)
Sat., Nov. 23
Lehigh at Saint Mary’s, 8 p.m.
Mon., Nov. 25
Pfeiffer (non-D1) at Winthrop, 7 p.m.

One interesting thing is that this "tournament" never has two games played on the same day. Teams in the tournament play the following number of games: Winthrop 4, Lehigh 3, St. Mary's 3, Fresno State 2, Four different D3's 1 apiece. The eight games are played at five different sites in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and California.
Cairn and Misericordia are both treating their games with LU as exhibitions that do not count in their record.
