Simply, we win and we host Loyola in the 8/9 game next Tuesday. We lose and we hit road. Where to? It could be to one of three locations – either back to Loyola or to either Navy or to Bucknell. If you were a Loyola fan, you could still hold out hope for a 7-Seed and with it the chance to host the 10th seeded Crusaders of Holy Cross. Now that’s incentive! For it to come true, they would, of course, have to beat us and at the same time hope that Lafayette beats Navy in a 2pm game today. Hey, this is fun. I guess.
As for our game, while we may have won 4 of our last 6 and posted an earlier (Jan. 5) win over LOM, let’s remember who we’re facing today. It’s a team far different from the one we hosted 55 days ago. They come into the game smarting over a 5-point loss to Navy but confident knowing they have won 6 of their last 8 and in that span put down the likes of Army and Colgate. Oh yeah, they own a four-game home winning streak and have some talent we haven’t seen before. Namely: KaVaughn Scott (6’7” Sr.) and Santi Aldama (6’11” Fr.). Then, of course, there’s the acknowledged all-star, #10, Andrew Kostecka. It should be entertaining.

Kostecka in a boot, 9 point lead at the half, hope I don't jinx them by posting this
Re: PL Game #18 - LOM
Almost did van. But we hung on. Didnt see 1st half. Last 3 -4 minutes of game nerves.
Karnik 20 pts 12 MWilson 15 pts 8a JWilson 18pt 8r
Fento and Taylor clutch off the bench. Betlow saw the floor with Jordan in foul trouble.

Re: PL Game #18 - LOM
Does this mean a home rematch with LOM in the PL Tournament next week?
Re: PL Game #18 - LOM
Got it done in hostile territory. A bit shaky at the end, but.... yes we get to do it all over again against Loyola Tuesday, 7PM in Stabler. This is a far different team than we saw through the middle of the season. Much more confidence, and a lot more experience for the underclassmen.
But can we beat the Greyhounds a third time? A win here would salvage quite a bit of what otherwise was a disappointed season. And perhaps say a lot about next years potential.

Re: PL Game #18 - LOM
When Lehigh struggled with Northeast PA (aka NEPA) power Misericordia at the beginning of the year I figured this could be a Sal like season. Thankfully, to Reed's credit, the team improved considerably as the season went on. I'd go far to say that outside of Colgate the Brown and White were as good as anyone in the league down the stretch.
Beating Loyola twice in a week is a tall task. With that said, the Mountain Hawks have about as good of a shot as anyone to make a run at Colgate.

Great effort. Finishing strong a good sign. Regardless how next week goes, a lot to look forward to next year, but I think we have the players to make life interesting for anyone in the League.

Re: PL Game #18 - LOM
Box said Karnik had 20 points in 18 minutes.
How often do Lehigh players get more points than minutes.
Was Karnik healthy ... playing only 18? Looks like he had only one PF.
