Young team returns in 2018-2019 with tons of promise. Can they get back to the NCAA Tournament?

Lineup

Post by lehigh90 » Thu Dec 28, 2023 9:55 pm

I’ve seen enough to say we need to play our young guards.

I’d start:

Gillus
Ingram
Higgins
TWS
Parolin

4 guards. Our bigs give us nothing. Push tempo.

Go small, the rest of our squad is marginal.

Agreed. I would add Momah has potential as a dominant rebounder in tandem with Parolin. But even with this, until
we get regime change I don't see this team going anywhere or doing much but lose. We are apparently headed to another dark era of Lehigh basketball, ala The Sal Mentesana era. The fact that the whole Patriot league sucks is little consolation.

Watching the Marist game and the play is horribly ragged. Turnovers galore. Lousy passing. Free throws horrid. SMH.

Showing signs of life in second half. We’ll see if they can play solid fundamental ball.

Momah finally showed up. Got a D1 win.

Parolin injured?

Kids showed a lot of heart. Very sloppy first half, but fought back. Hope the fight continues and better care taken of the ball!

Common, give the Brown and White some credit.
Marist has a 7-4 record, and leads a powerful Metro Atlantic Athletic conference that has seven of its members with non-winning records.
Looks like MAAC perfect rivals for the Patriot League.

That outcome bodes well for Lehigh. Marist beat both Bucknell and Army by double figures. The also played Notre Dame tough and lost by only four.

I think the Brown & White will do just fine in a weak Patriot League. Been a long time since Muscala and McCollum roamed the college courts.

Don't mean much. Take the women...Beat LaSalle by 60 points, who beat Rider by 10-20, who....

Don't care the team. I the players are not focused and ready. They lose. Last night's loss at American was a very winnable game. 50% foul shooting??!! That is a prime example of no focus. We are lucky we're in the PL. Champ likely have 10-12 wins regular season. Should make for a wide open year.
