#4 Scott Vollmer
Re: #4 Scott Vollmer
tough to know what we got here, competition level looks pretty weak from what I saw, certainly like the size however
Re: #4 Scott Vollmer
He says he is 7'0 now. A WO perhaps. He was on a number of lists for players to watch and top big men.
Re: #4 Scott Vollmer
Might be a walk-on. No listing on Verbal Commits. They usually have everybody covered. He is listed as a 2019 graduate on one site and 2020 on another. My guess is he is our first for the next class, not #4 for our current group of 2019. What little I found on him suggests a low scoring big guy who rebounds well. Gotta' trust the staff's judgement. And you can't teach height. Listed at 7' on some sites.
Welcome aboard Scott!!!

Re: #4 Scott Vollmer
He lists himself as a '19 on his twitter. So looks like he is #4 for next class.
Re: #4 Scott Vollmer
Yes, I'm almost positive he's a senior. Not only listed as that on twitter but also on two normally reliable sources: the coach-reported roster on Maxpreps and the New England Recruting Report (NERR). They don't play the greatest competition but it's not horrible. Produced Walter Whyte two years ago.
I think he's likely a preferred walk-on, based on:
- No reported offers
- Not ranked in top 40 in New England or top 15 in Connecticut
- Averaging 6.8 ppg, 6.8 rpg, and 1.8 bpg this year. HS seniors who are close to 7-0 tall usually do better.
- Averaged 4.9 ppg and 4.1 rpg as a junior.
Very likely a project, but as noted above, you can't teach height. May step in as Lynch's backup when Karnik graduates.

Re: #4 Scott Vollmer
This kid is a stiff. My kid plays in his league. He fouls out of every game and scores like 2 points. He also manages to throw a cheap elbow all the time. He got thrown out of our game and a t in the championship game. He had 2 points and 4 fouls. Terrible attitude as well. His dad must be paying full tuition for him to go to Lehigh
Re: #4 Scott Vollmer
interesting observations. If he's coming, one can only hope the good doctor will get his head readjusted.
