Nice to get back in the swing of things with a win. Did not see much of the game on PLN, but the box says something, I'm not sure exactly what. We shot a blistering 56% from 3, 51% overall (29 of 56). St. Francis held to 26% from 3, 37% overall (27 of 72). In rebounding our 27 misses we got 3, St. Francis 25(?). Of their 45 misses we got 20 rebounds, they retrieved 25.

Obviously we were red hot from the field. And I assume our defensive intensity had something to do with their shooting troubles. But our offensive rebounding.... is that by design?

game of 2 halves, first half we could not defend and looked a step slow (finals hangover?) second half looked like world beaters\

too many unforced turnovers to suit me

Pomeroy hits again:

Forecast: LU by 8 (85-77)
Actual: LU by 12 (88-76)

Got to love..........
A. Our Big 4 hitting 13 of 19 threes and scoring 76 overall
B. 17 of 19 FTs (JK even sank 4)

Got to worry ( some more ) about....
A. Our "5's" scoring just 8 on 2 for 9 shooting and looking, more often than not, uncomfortable in doing so
B. Getting out-rebounded (again). This time 29 to 45 and yielding 14 second chance points

It's off to #49 West Virginia who just sneaked by Jacksonville State (ranked 139th) this afternoon by the score of 74-72. Should be fun!

Got to see 2nd half. Team pretty much put it all together. D intensity and great shooting. My one quibble would be rebounding. The bigs didnt really contribute much.

No question this team has the elements to have a special season. Need to be focused every game. As shown by some of the comparative scores, nothing is a given, and anyone not ready to 'go' pays the penalty.
