Game 14/3: Holy Cross

Young team returns in 2018-2019 with tons of promise. Can they get back to the NCAA Tournament?

most fun i have ever had starring at a computer screen.

99 pts. in 45 min. and that is after scoring 89 and 86 in previous 2 PL outings. Nice 91.3 ppg average.

Off night from deep. Only 45.5%. Broight seaaon average down to Nation's leading 46.7%

If it"s not PA, it's LT. If it's not LT, it's KL If it's not KL, it's JC. If it's not JC, it's JW. If it's not JW, it's CB. Anyeay you get the idea. Now if we could just play some D and play if from the get go.

Just think what a long bus ride home to Bethlejem it might have been. Congrats to all.

An angry Colgate bunch (losers by 3 to Bucky tonight) awaits us on Saturday.

KenPom hits 3 of 5 tonight. As do the home teams

not having MW could be a problem in these high energy games, I though CB got exposed on D some and the guys wore down at the end of the second half but some how dug deep and pushed through the OT, probably helped that HC is not very deep and had one starter in foul trouble. can't imagine HC shooting like they did in the first half, very impressed with Floyd, I would try to give it to him on the blocks every possession

That was a serious win for Lehigh and should send a message to the League. Moreover, it should send a message within the team as to they can accomplish. A lot of b-ball to play, yet, but the pieces are there. Need to keep the intensity.

Am I the only one who was taken off guard by the pace of play from Holy Cross?
I had expected a much slower tempo from the team who led the Patriot League in scoring defense.

TMH you are not alone. I figured Cross would try to slow it down and not get into a gun battle. They are the slowest paced team in the league according to Kenpom. We are the most uptempo along with Army. Just like the Leopards, they shot well early and really pressed the tempo.

It will be interesting to see what approach Colgate takes. In any event we will no doubt get their best shot. All part of being the lead dog.

Last night was "A Tale of Two Cities" for Holy Cross. I was at the game and the 59 point first half was the most scored since 1997. I was at the game and no one expected to duplicate that feat in the 2nd half. But the tailoff was greater than expected. Your guys played well.

Your team shoots lights out pretty consistently while Holy Cross needs to work and only once in a while, we get streaky and do well taking shots.

In order to beat Lehigh and Bucknell, the Crusaders need all 5 starters to play no worse than average with some excelling. Last night Caleb Green and Jehyve Floyd did their bit but a couple of starters didn't do as well, especially Grandison who is usually our best all-around player.

A very exciting game that I had hoped the purple would pull out but didn't. Neither team quit witnessed by both teams coming back from big deficits. But, as Vince Lombardi once said, "we didn't lose, we just ran out of time."

So, now you guys are in the driver's seat.
