Game 16/5 - American

Young team returns in 2018-2019 with tons of promise. Can they get back to the NCAA Tournament?

They'll be measuring it in feet in Lewisburg. The Lehigh Valley might stay just warm enough to keep snow totals way down. Go north and west and things figure to be much different. My guess is Bucknell will be spending Saturday night in Bethlehem.

This is a really big game obviously! I might try to make it out to Sojka in Mid-February...

Wouldn't be great if both Bucknell and American (they are scheduled to take on tbe ladies at 4:30pm on Saturday) each got into town on Friday night and both games were moved up on Saturday - the ladies to 2 pm and the men to 4:30pm. Yeah, i know....too much to expect with so little time to plan.

Great to see 65 and TMH last night at Stabler! The win wasn't bad either.

Coach seemed a bit perturbed in the radio post game last night. Basically talked about the 2nd half loss of focus in terms of college kids forgetting the game plan that had gone so well earlier. That stretch in the second half when we threw the ball around wildly after several Greyhound turnovers, gave the ball right back and led to easy runouts for them. And got them back in the game. Bucknell is unlikely to let us off the hook with that kind of play.

Here's hoping the weather holds off a bit until after Saturday's game. And the expected big crowd gets a win.

Forecast keeps shifting because meteorologists can't nail down where the freeze line will set within the "I-95 Corridor". Could be a foot. Could be 4 inches. Either way, the 'threat' will keep the crowd down which is a shame.

I tuned in and also noticed the brain freeze in the second half, but thought at least part of it might have been because JW was hurting or limping by the end of the game. In any event mentally the team got it together and closed things out. I think games like this could be rewarding for the team, where they have to fight to survive and win.

It will definitely keep down the Bucknell crowd. Fan buses already cancelled, and most Bucknell fans would normally be coming from 1-2 hours away.

I'm thinking the 2nd half letdown was because Bret took my advice and gave the halftime speech at the beginning of the game but then had nothing left to say at halftime :-)

Don't know much about JW''s status but I think it happened very late in the game.
