Grapplers showing moxie

Post by ngineer » Mon Jan 21, 2019 11:15 pm

Very nice road trip to American and Navy. Navy match especially nice outcome since many predicted it to be closer. Jakobsen going down at American scary, but hopefully, can make it back in good health. Sounds like a very bad 'ding' to the head/neck. Weiler did a heck of a job at Navy filling in and almost taking down their 197 who appeared to not only have at least 10 pounds on him, but about 6 inches, too. Looks like some guys are starting to wrestle with more confidence. Reznick showing nice growth. No head-hanging. Good to see. This weekend with ASU and VaTech will be a real challenge. Word is Farro making attempt at 125 in time for qualifying for EIWA. Not sure when time deadline is, but LUWN magazine said 2/1 is the target.

great to watch a more healthy squad on the mat. ASU and VaTech will be good parameters for us going into February. Tech will be real tough but winnable. ASU competitive but we match up well. A W.

Fingers crossed that Farro can make and hold the cut.

Jakobsen listed as a "possible" starter against ASU. No official word on how the protocol has been.Wouldn't be surprised to see Weiler, again, at 197.
