If he has an affinity for Lafayette we can assume Lehigh wasn't truly on the radar anyway. I wouldn't count on a Lafayette -> Lehigh transfer. Big waste of talent but more fish in the sea. Q-town's Fred Retter was another HW stud last year who dropped wrestling to play football at Kutztown. We move on. I know Lachman's small but I'm digging his trajectory over the past two years. Kid is all in on this.
I agree. Last time Lachman wrestled Kinney, he lost 5-2. Give him a year or two in the room with Wood and Rey and pretty sure he'll be much better then a kid who hasn't wrestled for two years. Frankly, it boggles my mind why more top notch HWT's don't show interest in Lehigh. One of the best spots in the country to land for those north of 225 lbs.

Thanks for posting this good article. The steller trained club is a big deal around here and i've wondered about what impact it might have on recruiting. Marsteller was at LVWC briefly but who knows the circumstances at that time. He is also close with Kolat of course. At first i was concerned when Kunstek (a steller trained guy) flipped from Lehigh. But since then Lachman has flipped to Lehigh. I think they are a force for good overall.

Vaughn Spencer won WPIAL 172 pin, pin, 13-0, Pin. Junior. Won WPIAL last year at 189.

Shannon Govern won 130. SC Regional. 9-1, fall. 6-4 SV. She is brutal on top. Josh Humphreys brutal. or maybe I should say Don McCorkle Brutal more his style. Gave up 2 counter TDs in the 1st. Got an escape +TD in the 2nd. then 3.5 minutes of crunch. Need some work to change Freestyle.

Seamus Max's sister Hattie was 3rd.

So how did our 3 guys in D1 do?

Southeast Region

Ziegler pinned his way through the tournament
Sadriddinov won 1-0 in the finals
Lachman lost 3-2 to Dean Bechtold, who is only a sophomore. Somebody to watch perhaps down the line.

Yeah, tough loss for Lachman. He had beat Bechtold 2-1 earlier this year. Bechtold's only losses this year are to Lachman and Pavlechko of State College.

Lachman will have time to grow into 285 as Taylor has 2 years left. In addition Taylor can turn Lachman into an offensive machine like he has become.

Unofficial PIAA pairings are out.

Most importantly, Sadriddinov and Spencer are seeded 1-2 and shouldn't meet before the finals.

Zeigler #1 with much better record than the other two regional champs in his half bracket. Best record in his half of the bracket is the #5 in his region, possibly his first match.

Mack #2, behind Maddox Shaw of Tom Jefferson. All his bouts to to finals could be minefields. Shaw was st runner-up last year.

Lachman likely to face Kinney in his second bout.

Link to the AAA bracket.
