I was watching Polito on the adjacent mat and recall hearing a really loud thud. Looked over shortly thereafter and Karam was being attended to.
He was out before he hit the ground. Didn't appear that he landed on his head or anything, although he likely wasn't attentive enough to brace himself before he hit.

Not a medical expert, so I can't say if the whack caused the concussion, or that the whack knocked him out (which doesn't necessarily mean a concussion, right?) and he hit his head on the mat causing a concussion.

Zargo had Karam's right leg lifted (both standing) with his left arm; Karam had a whizzer in. Both facing the same direction, if you can picture that. Both sorta bent over at the waist, and Zargo's right arm flew across and smacked Karam on the left side of his head. Not sure what Zargo was trying to do with that. But down went Karam.
Thanks. That's actually a fairly common finish to a single. I didn't think of that one given the original description.
You circle the guy over the controlled leg by pulling on that leg and by a cross face with the opposite hand. You try to get the center of balance away from the free leg. I'm not sure I ever heard a name for it but Husted and Burley used to use it quite a lot. That was the first I noticed the move. And some of those were pretty hard. And sometimes (given the more recent post suggesting he was out before he landed) you might turn into the cross-face in an attempt keep your balance making things worse.

Any news on Luke Karam? It was a pretty nasty impact he took landing square on his back with all the weight of the other wrestler on top of him also.

After ordering ESPN+ to watch Princeton, I went back and watched some of the Lehigh matches at the Princeton Open. Karam's bout was early on Mat 2. Noted others so I could go back and watch later, but probably missed a few and since I was on an iPad and found the whole process of trying to get to the start of the match to be royal PITA. He's signed up for Mat Town along with about 6 others. On my site.

Lane, Polito, Karam, Frinzi, Lacombe are signed up so far. I checked yesterday and no one was listed. We may pick up a few others by Sunday.

Any word on the condition of Dan Moran and Chase Gallik? Moran looked hurt in practice in mid-October and hasn't wrestled; Gallik was hurt at the Journeymen.

He may wrestle Lock Haven's Colin Glorioso who brings to mind Miles Gloriosus from one of my favorite movies, "Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLgOrvsA9tw. Gloriosus was played by the British actor/opera singer Leon Greene who actually got his start singing Gilbert & Sullivan for the famed D'Oyly Carte Company.

Zero Mostel. Comedic genius. He could do more with a facial expression than most comedians with their entire routine.

In the Movie Gloriosus was the General, the long lost son of Buster Keaton's character.
