Taking a trip back into the WayBack Machine...
EIWA's were held @ Stabler in 2006... most of the Fab 4(Cooperman, Zink,Letters, Frick) were in their last season. Troy was hurting w/The Injury when he was dec. by Cornell's Steve Anceravage in the semis, dropping Mr. Letters into the consis for the first time. He made it into the consi finals , werstling none other than Army's Jon Anderson. Memory is a little vague, but I recall that the Cadet was winning over Troy... I don't recall whether he was on top or clamming up on bottom (Anderson), but some Lehigh fan yelled out "What is he doing (Anderson)?" and one of the assistant coach/or Army student advisor turned around and yelled, "WINNING!"
Letters wound up (I think) getting into the NCAA's as a wild card, but didn't place.
Interesting story to say at least.

I was there and recall the Anceravage bout. Troy was down by a point and didn't shoot from neutral for the last 30 seconds. It was obvious something was wrong and heartbreaking to watch.
And I don't mean to take away from Anceravage, who was one of my favorite Cornelians.
