My understanding is that an athlete can receive either need-based or non-need-based aid, but not both. I've heard of one case where a wrestler turned down non-need-based aid when it was offered, because his need-based was sufficient.

Re: 2020 Recruiting
Based on the reported lack of money available and the size and quality of this recruiting class, I'm guessing that Herceg would not have been affected by the full ride question.
Would I be wrong in assuming that full rides are only given to the bluest of the blue chips. Partials are primarily given to let's say top 10 in weight class type and the balance get some kind of other financial aid either academic or need based.

Thanks gimp.
So option is need aid only for many.

Storm takes 3’rd at Mid-Winter Mayhem
Lawrence is back healthy and wins Tri-State Classic. Not sure if Frazier is at ETR this weekend but thought it might be on their schedule. To lazy to look it up.
Looks like Munch however, did not wrestle at Eastern State Classic. Hopefully just getting healthy for the Blair dual this weekend.

It looks like Sem and Blair sent B teams this past weekend. Neither Kievman Nor Bartlett wrestled either. Blair finished 18th, so maybe that was more like their D teammh1 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 5:53 pm Storm takes 3’rd at Mid-Winter Mayhem

PaWrestling does not show Lawrence competing at Tri-State. It shows Frazier 25th place.

Rich I must have found last year’s tournament results. Perhaps Thayne is still out.

Re: 2020 Recruiting
It is my understnding that they cannot mix and match with one student, but he can mix it up throughout the team. This is different than other sports, i.e. football where need based grant in aid cannot be used unless the student is a true walk on and wasn't recruited for the sport. This a a Patriot League rule, but wrestling is not a PL sport.
