NCAA just approved emerging sport status for Womens D2 + D3 Wrestling, Per FLO

NCAA will vote on status for D1 in April. Time for Lehigh to step up

Gimp just reported on the first two Girls teams duals in NJ, both were pins in all bouts, The second one was No Hunterdon vs Hunterdon C

Time for PIAA to step up. It looks like last years very unofficial girls state tournament had about 70 schools represented, wouldn't be surprised if another 30 had a girl on the team, but did not enter (interestingly Archbishop Ryan had a girl entered, but during the regular season their boys cannot wrestle girls

I thought d1 had already done so but I guess it was just one stage in the process last year.

There was a dual last year down at the shore but this was the first in the area.

And you can thank Chloe Ayres for the whole thing!

Now that’s an overstatement. Her dad, more likely.

Lori and Chris may have done the work, but it was Chloe that got it started.

Sure hope the NCAA doesn't spoil women's wrestling debut by opening it to trans women ...leave it the the XX contestants
