Key to EIWA championship is Weiler & Jacobson reaching their potential. Both are talented wrestlers that should be in the finals based on their pedigree. Likecto see Humphreys at the top of the podium in very tough weight class.

Lane at 133 in my book!! 141 is a tossup choice.

Watching on the Patriot League Network archive...

125 Brandon, besides giving up that TD, really wasn't in any trouble in losing that match. The way the Bucknell announcers were carrying on... they thought that their wrestler, Brandon Seidman had a chance! (Not really. ;) )

133 Nick started out his match w/ authority. Nabbed a quick TD and a mat return that was hard and convincing.
After a two TD 1st... the momentum swung towards Bucknell's true frosh Darren Miller (last years PA State Champ.)
I don't know whether or not that it's a gas tank issue or Farro stopped wrestling. He has the tools. We know of another wrestler that's just as short as Nick and he kept it close w/ him as well... twice at least (AA bound Tucker for the Big Red.) Miller will have a decent future. Nick has to wrestle ALL periods.

Going to continue watching some more...

141 Dan Moran got the dec. over Bucknell's David Campbell (shown on the Bison's roster as a 133,er.)
Campbell kept it closer to the larger Dan, though Moran wasn't in danger of losing this one.

149 Jimmy Hoffman (Lehigh) major dec. Matthew Kolonia (Bucknell) 10-1... as mentioned earlier, this was closer than the score indicated. JH blew it open when he caught Kolonia on his back towards the end.
After the long recovery from the So.FLA duals injury... Jimmy just needs some more mat time. Will he go into those extra tournaments to grab some more mat time? Should be okay

More matches to watch.

157 Josh Humphreys looking pretty decent vs a very athletic frosh Jaden Fisher, 9-3.
Funny how those Bison announcers try to make the bouts, closer than they really are. :P

Break... anticipating on how Brian Meyer looked against Bucknell's Hartman (his 3-2 loss last nite.)

BTW, Tucker was leading 5-2 in the third period today against Binghamton's Zack Trampe and was forced into OT. Tucker won, of course -- he always wins -- but it at least gives us some hope that one day the ball will land in the 0.

165 Other than giving up the deciding reversal in the 3rd and then being ridden out (barely), Meyer looked pretty decent against Hartman (same Hartman that pinned Jimmy Hoffman at Grace last season!)... I dare say it was a match that he could of (should of ? ) won.
Seeing Brian get that initial TD in the 1st was certainly a pleasant surprise to behold!
Meyer, if continuing his improvement, should surprise some at the EIWA's. :)

174 What can you say?
Jordan is Jordan, w/ a "surprise" fall... but w/ authority!

184 Chase Gallik (Lehigh) Fall Kyle Inlander (Bucknell) 6:05... otherwise it was a tight bout w/ Chase leading by one after two. (Nice call on the stall, boys! :P After the ref held up his fist w/ the home/green band, and they're calling Gallik w/ the stall. Precious!)
Liked when Chase showed optional start and then whipped Inlander over for the fall. Nice set up.
Good win for the Hawkineer senior. 8-)

197 Jake wbd over the veteran Drew Phipps, 3-0.
EIWA seeding implications... also won by Jake.
Neon orange Adidas wrestling shoes didn't work for Drew... try something else? ;)

285 Jordan Wood (Lehigh) major dec. Brandon Stokes (Bucknell) 12-0
Major D over an undersized 285, but extremely oversized roster noted 185'er Stokes.
Jordan has bigger fish to fry in Arizona St.'s Tanner Hall.

32-6... contrary to the Bison announcers, the dual wasn't quite as competitive as they thought it was.

Nice win for the Hawkineers. Had Farro wrestled all 3 periods AND Meyer almost pulled it out, it could of been a shutout.

Hartman pinned Humphreys who returned the favor at EIWAs winning 12-6 in the finals...

I know you're not supposed to take much from close losses, but I thought Brian Meyer really came to wrestle vs Bucknell. The announcers (who were pretty good, actually) quickly went from talking a Hartman bonus to hoping that Hartman would survive and get the W.

I still think the best 165 in the conference is Phil Conigliaro.
