I see that when Walter and Minotti wrestled off for the EIWA spot it was best two out of three - which is done in other wrestling situations and seems to me more fair than a one shot wrestle-off.

So if a Lane-Farro wrestle-off is to be determinative, wouldn't we expect it to be best two out of three as with Walter-Minotti and may not the fact that it was a single bout suggest that Santoro may be leaving himself some wiggle room?
How do you know it wasn't also based on other factors?
I don't. But when they have a best of three competition shortly before the EIWAs and Walter wins, and he gets the EIWA slot, a fair inference is that he got the slot because he won. If you'd like to supplement the public record with additional insider information, I'd be happy to consider it.

You missed the whole point You made a statement assuming that it will be based solely on that bout rather than consider that other things might be factored in. You even admit you don't know and still seem to presume that it's based solely on that bout. Whether I have inside info is irrelevant (and if I actually had true insider info I wouldn't release it).

That's right, and as I point out it's a reasonable presumption. You do know the difference between a presumption and a fact, do you not?

And by the way, Oracle obviously arrived at the same presumption in positing that the one bout at Lock Haven was the determinative wrestle off and that since Farro won, irrespective of any other factors (other than a poor record) he should get the EiWA slot. So why don't you go attempt to nit pick with Oracle?

Does anyone know how scoring in the bout went (Flo just shows scores not scoring)?

I'm guessing two takedowns and an escape for Farro to one escape for Lane. Picturing a late 1st round takedown for Farro where he could ride the period out ..... then trading escapes to start 2nd and third period.....then maybe Farro gets a takedown off late desperation shot attempts by Lane.......all just guessing but it's what I imagine happened.......

Farro seems like the perfect foil to Lane, a guy who likes to shoot low leg attacks/ankle picks against a guy whose probably greatest deficiency in his arsenal right now is giving up his legs too easily. Lane managed to make it work agaisnt ASU but it is not a recipe for long term success in my opinion.....

Because he said it should be you said it was.
And I'll put my vocabulary knowledge up there.

Would have to be based on someone there watching. I think you do know but we weren't live scoring here. They were texting me brackets so I only had final scores.

Yes I was aware how you were doing scoring, and nice work in an adverse situation by the way.

Just wondered if anyone had the scoop on how the match actually played out......

I'm sure Coach Santoro does, and that will enter into his decision of who goes for the EIWA's :D

Just Kidding!!!

I think everyone missed my point about Minotti - Walter

I suppose no one else remembers but Kutler failed to make weight for Easterns, I don't claim to know if someone attacked him and forced donuts down is throat, but I suspect he struggled all year (I guess an Injury might have been a problem.

Which one of these lineups was strongest at 157-16?

1. FFT-+ Minotti
2. FFT + Walter
3. Minotti + Kutler
4. Walter + Kutler

I think 4, If Walter could have made the weight. (There was talk for 2017-18, when we all thought Kutler was going 165 and Priesh staying at 174 of Walter going down- Who knows if He Could)

So answer 3.

Many of us thought "Glass Body" Minotti did not have 5 days of 2 to 4 bouts left in his body. Heart and Mind yes, Body no, Obviously no one wanted to pull a 2-time AA from the Lineup.

Get over yourself Mountain Hawk. You are as crazy a fan as any thinking you can annoint a guy by fiat. Farro beat Lane. Done. If you want to start - win your wrestle-off or didn't they teach you that in your sport -- tennis was it?

Yes, I have a strong opinion on this topic. I couldn't care less who agrees with me and even less that crazy as shithouse rat posters criticize me.
Your strong opinion is just that - an opinion. It gets a coefficient of zero in MH's equation of the truth. You seem bitter and angry that anyone would dare disagree with you. Try to get outside. There's other people out there in the world. MH likes your tennis idea. Take that up and get some fresh air. Stick to singles though....you seem like lousy company at the moment.

Coach should and will decide the way forward at 133.

The angst on this board about "defending the coaching staff" sometimes is unreal.......who is saying they should or should not do anything? (other than Mountain Hawk and it takes 8 guys to shout him down?).....
note that MH never said anything of the kind. Your post is largely spot on other than this reference.

The only thing that should AND WILL happen at 33 is that Coach will decide.
