Line-up questions
Re: Line-up questions
I think any team in the country would love to have the “lack of depth” at their upper weights that Cornell has.
To get back to the title of this thread, who steps up for Lehigh next year at 165 through 184, now that it looks as if Weiler is leaving. Meyer gave it everything he had last year but was undersized. Does Frinzi challenge at 165? Ruth at 174? What about 184? Lehigh has a lot of very good depth through the first half of the lineup, but not as much in the second half.
The dual will be at home next year (Grace or Stabler?) which will be worth an upset win for us at one weight, at least, if history is any indicator - should be interesting.
With Chris leaving, who wants to take a stab at Lehigh’s lineup next year?

Re: Line-up questions
just one point, entering the portal does not mean he is leaving for sure, as a marketing major, not sure what post grad degree he might be seeking but Lehigh does have MBA programs

How very true. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the street. More often than not it isn’t. Transferring is risky business, since things don’t always turn out the way they appear.

McGonagle over Hoffman?

... so that means Weiler is closer?

Never argue with an idiot... he'll bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Re: Line-up questions
That's a possibility, but I think we're going to need to wait and see who winds up at which weight. The only two I agree with 100% are Paetzell and Wood.
133: Farro came through bigtime at EIWAs, but does Lane surpass him? Is Munch ready for prime time?
141: I kind of thought Lane was a bit undersized for 133. It may be between Moran, Hines, and McGonagle.
149: Hoffman has two years remaining. Is Karam back? If so, he may have two years remaining. Is McGonagle big enough, and better than Hoffman? Is Manzona Bryant ready for prime time?
157: Does Josh redshirt? He brought up the possibility in a post-season interview. If he does, is Haubert ready? Can Meyer make 157?
165: From what I've heard, Lawrence looks like he may be ready to start as a true frosh. Frinzi beat Mitch Hartman (EIWA 6th at 174) and Tim Fitzpatrick (8th at 165) so he's got a legit shot at an EIWA place. Meyer needs to bulk up to be successful at this weight.
174-184: Ruth is a good deal taller than Logan; that doesn't necessarily mean that Ruth should go at the higher weight but he didn't appear to have any excess at 174 last season. JT Davis and Caden Wright probably need a r/s year to develop. Just because Weiler entered the transfer portal doesn't mean he emerges from the other end; might just mean he's exploring his options. Probably a definite no, but is it possible that Jake could make 184 this late in his career?
197: Jake's close to 100% here; I really don't think he'd consider 184 if Weiler leaves, plus the hole at 197 is probably harder to fill than at 184. Though Elijah Jones is not bad.

Re: Line-up questions
**** Finally someone posted a potential Lehigh Lineup and not more about Cornell. Thanks JDA and Mookie.
125: Paetzell: for his senior year. Resnick backing up and Seymour Redshirting.
133: Farro: did well and will be back for his senior year. Lane is good, still needs to muscle up. Munch Redshirt.
141: Moran/Hines/McGonagle/Lane (potentially if he really muscles up to go with his height).
149: Hoffman/Karam/McGonagle. Bryant Redshirt.
157: Humphreys: Redshirt? Meyer (can he make the weight), Haubert backing up.
165: Meyer: (has he gained muscle?), Frinzi/Lawrence.
174: Logan/Ruth.
184: Ruth/Logan, unless Weiler does not transfer. JT Davis, Caden Wright Redshirt. I just don't see Jake cutting.
197: Jake: Jones backing up.
285: Wood: for Final Year. Lacombe/Haga backing up.

Re: Line-up questions
Mitch Polito backing up at 125.
Who knows what Lane is doing weight-wise? He's certainly not a small 133 but he could also easily grow into 141/149
Karam was on pro -- we'll have to wait and see if he gets off and will be eligible. I think they petitioned for him to compete while on pro -- that's a thing, or used to be.
Hoffmann had a nasty injury. McGonagle is growing.
I would RS Bryant at all costs; he has potential but talent is raw.
Meyer can make 157.
Let the full-sized 165s rank and let's see who emrges....unless Humphreys doesn't RS, then probably Meyer
edit: Lawrence would have to be significantly better than everyone else or RS him.
I would wrestle-off Ruth and Logan at 174 -- loser goes to 184 if Weiler does not return
Jake is a pretty big 197.....184 out of the question.
