From a Rutgers insider. Jacob Cardenas did not qualify for admission to Cornell. Supposedly will be going to Arizona State.

Maybe he'd rather watch Darmstadt from afar. Assuming the rumor is true, of course.

How much snow did Ithaca get yesterday, anyway? Maybe that helped his decision.

Ethan Hatcher , IM #44 from Ohio, will be at Finger Lakes next year. I figure he's Cornell's likely future 197.

Based on? Ranking? Ya never know until they get in the room.

Loew has proven he's legit D1.

Darmstadt has two years of eligibility left, and if Hatcher can make and hold 197 then Loew has nowhere to go.

Intermat is reporting that Cornell recruit Mason Reineche has decided to enroll at Oregon State instead. The Uber-recruiting they have done over the last several years will leave many a top recruit sitting and waiting or perhaps just moving on as is this case here.
