Thanks those are good articles. Hearing Nick Saban or Roy Williams refer to their "student-athletes" is finger nails on a chalkboard for me.

Of course it would be through no fault of the student athlete. However, his point is accurate. They are there for an education first, which they are still receiving, with their scholarship money intact.
It would really suck for the student athletes, but I don’t see where the NCAA would owe them anything.
JAD77 understands the point I was trying to make. The idea that student(-athlete)s would get back two years of eligibility is ludicrous. Eligibility is clearly a force majeure type of situation - nobody owes anybody anything.

Correct. Or to put it another way, saying the NCAA owes anything to the students is as ridiculous as saying the students should pay back the school.
Both are non-starters.

This year anyway. If they're getting scholarships, they better be starters!

>>>Hasn't the NCAA already given the green light?

.... As of this week some schools like Lehigh and Lafayette aren't sure yet how to proceed with a school year, never mind any possible sports after 12/31. Some cynics like to poke fun about 'weanie' liberal tendencies but re-think what just happened to pro soccer and MLB this weekend. The Marlins + two soccer teams were saddled with 10-14 players afflicted -- each. The soccer teams have withdrawn from the tournament.
The Phillies are having the NY Yankees import their own staff to clean the visiting clubhouse, since the Phils' own cleaning staff need quarantining after exposure to the Marlins.
So two "postponements": NYY at PHL and Baltimore at Miami; not just infected, Marlins had been unable to fly home. More postponement. Let's not make too much fun of sports leadership for proceeding cautiously.

F&M cancels fall semester competition... including wrestling

I'm a little surprised that no one picked this up and comment about this (since this came out 7/31.)

https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Wrestling/F ... ompetition

Though it's only the fall semester (of which wrestling starts w/ wrestle-offs by late October), most of us figured that wrestling may start after the 1st of January.
Though, w/ the way that the corona virus is behaving else where, who knows IF that will even happen? :?

More specifically, this is the Lehigh Wrestling Forum. And F&M is a fellow EIWA member.
