Re: No way to spin it
Cornell is an outlier. I haven't seen many or any guys from Brown, Harvard, Columbia. Only a few each from Penn, Princeton who are in the PRTC.Mountain Hawk wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 12:42 pmnot sure about that. whole cornell team wrestling in all these freestyle events with top competition. Cornell wins NCAAs next year or the year after and they seem to be developing fine
Penn State and Iowa are still the favorites for the team title the next couple of years.

Between them Starocci and Brooks will win a minimum of 6 NCAA titles.

>>>Wow Gimp you got us, kudo's to you ....I see how they divided it now....you trying to take over Denny's I know better than you role on here?
.... Since the day I first met him -- hopping in my car with 3 others to drive to the '71 NCAAs at Auburn -- Gimp has always known more than I have. Best to get used to it drd

.... Why not step away from our keyboards and just bang our heads against a brick wall. As my dad used to say: "I do it because it feels so good when I stop"
.... When I met Jaret Lane at the team picnic before his HS senior year, he looked me in the eye (I'm down to 5'9 1/2") and said "I hope I can make 125 the first two years"
.... When I met Malyke Hines at the 2019 picnic, his first, I said "Wow, how tall are you?" Answer: "5'10" I challenged him but he looked down at my eyes and answered my next question of what weight he thought he'd be as a senior.
Answer: "Probably 165"
.... Terry DeStito was a freshman A/A at 165, then A/A again at Hwt 3 yrs later. Mike began at 118, finished at 134, also w/out a r/s. Brad Dillon was 135 as HS sr, 158 early at LU, last 3 at 174; Chris Vitale 125 hs sr, began 42/49, finished at 165.
..... So when an athlete can't be sure, why do we spend so much time looking for "answers" 16-18 mo ahead?

.... If they finish ahead of either Iowa or Penn State next year I'll buy you dinner at the most expensive restaurant you can find. Same bet vs PSU in 2023 but you'll owe me a shipment of Omaha Steaks if you lose.

Kyle Dake 141-167 (and no I'm not a Cornell or Kyle Dake fan, though I do like Yianni, unless he's wrestling LU)..
Weight/weight class/lineup speculation is part of wrestling, always has been and always will be, get over it......
