With Navy not entering a 149, Cobb may still eligible for an NCAA at-large bid if the withdrawal is COVID-related.
Page 1, Row 2 of the attached link:

A wrestler who does not compete in his respective conference tournament, MAY still be eligible for an at-large selection. ONLY if he was unable to participate due to COVID related issues, and he was not replaced by a teammate in the conference tournament.
I assume Cobb's AQ goes back into the at-large pool, which reduces the conference bids at 149 from 4 to 3?

My understanding is that they discontinued the month-to-month option for wrestling.

I believe I heard of a work-around by joining on one of the other sports pages (e.g., gymnastics) at a monthly rate. Since Flo's subscription gives access to all sports on the platform, those folks had access to wrestling. I think that back-door has since been closed.

Cobb did not earn the spot, nor did any wrestler this year; so his withdrawal does not affect the number of conference bids.

I keep forgetting that AQs were based on 5-year history. Thanks for the clarification. So 149 still has 4, and Cobb (if this is COVID-related) could still go to St Louis.

Thx very much; not surprising Flo would move to close the doors. The way they keep spending money on acquisitions, they need every greenback they can find

Since USA Gymnastics just signed a deal w Flo, I checked their subscription options. FloGymnastics allows a monthly subscription ($29.99), but it does not appear to give access to other sports.

The annual subscription is called FloPro, which allows access to all sports. Interesting that they don't offer a monthly rate for wrestling - ???

Interesting in that Cobb may get to NCAAs but lack of wrestler at 149 may cost Navy team title.
Tough coaches decision? Or maybe all Navy 149ers are in covid protocol.
