NCAA Seeds
Re: NCAA Seeds
I was told in school many years ago that a couple was two, a few was three, and several was four through nine. I said a few. This is the third tournament that they're seeding through 33. That's a few.

Re: NCAA Seeds
You didn't define many but that also means you're counting the one that got away although I guess they did seed it.
Re: NCAA Seeds
They did seed it; that's how the NWCA determined All-Americans last year.
Best guesstimates on seedings --
125 - Lane was 20th in the 2nd CP rankings. Shut out #32 Roes and #25 Treaster; my guess is that earns a bump into the teens. Let's say 17th.
133 - Hines was 32nd in 1st CP rankings, not eligible for the second ranking. Miller was the only ranked guy, #23; Allen blew him away and Hines beat Allen. So somewhere in the low 20s sounds likely.
141 - McGonagle not ranked. Finished 3rd; shut out Flores twice, lost to #10 Trybus 2-1. Mid 20s sounds about right; I'd say in the teens if he'd already been ranked.
149 - Hoffman was 23rd, Ogunsanya was 17th. Jimmy had two shutout tech falls and a loss to PJ when it was obvious his knee was aching. My guess is Hoffman draws a low 20s seed.
157 - Frinzi didn't beat anyone ranked, but he pinned Fisher who had beaten Cerniglia. Mid to high 20s is most likely.
165 - Meyer helped himself. Beat #23 Stamm, lost close to #11 Skidgel, beat #26 Barczak. He might draw around #20.
174 - Logan lost on a tiebreaker to #17 O'Malley; he could also draw around #20.
184 - Ammerman qualified. I'm happy with that. Couldn't care less if he draws #33.
197 - #20 Jake dominated #24 McLaughlin and shut out #18 Brown, who had beaten #17 Koser. Jake to the mid-teens.
285 - Wood was 8th, won easily but I doubt he moves past the 7th seed. Single digits for certain.

Re: NCAA Seeds
****JDA sounds about right. Just happy all our guys made it to “The Animal Show”. Now keep healthy and hopefully some guys will pull an upset or 2. Lane will be a tough out for all but the top 5 or 6. Hines may surprise someone with his speed and explosiveness. McGonagle may have a win or two but will need to open up from neutral. Meyer may surprise someone as he keeps matches close. Jake and Wood have a good chance to place. Regardless going to the NCAAs should help everyone for next year. Ibthink we could get 2 AAs and 2 R12s.

Navy just paused all sports activities except basketball.... Capital Gazette paper tonight.
Re: NCAA Seeds
Good thing we went three weeks ahead of NCAAs. That gives them a chance to get back on the mats in time.Marylandengineer wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 8:45 pm Navy just paused all sports activities except basketball.... Capital Gazette paper tonight.

10-day shutdown. They can resume activity on March 10th, eight days ahead of NCAAs.
