Re: Starting Lineup
Gossiping, geesh Denny at least pretend you realize it's not 1968.....

Re: Starting Lineup
If true, and I don't doubt it is, that is an absolute bummer.
Gotta feel bad for him - His "year" was 2020 where he almost certainly would have AA'd if not for COVID causing the cancellation of the NCAA's. He had an awesome year.
I second Oracle - what do you know?
Re: Starting Lineup
Clearly I have not been watching the right TV lately. I don't think I have3 seen Life of Riley since the 50's. Tho see william Bendix you need to watch Lifeboat.

Re: Starting Lineup
I think Daffy copied "What a Revolting Development This Is" from (Life of) Riley. But I have Not wtched that show in over 60 years.
D. Duck could also refer to Donald or Daisy, but those named Donald rarely say anything intelligible or intelligent.

The use of gossip was 100% intentional, as if I cared about nuance ... 1968 is essentially the avg graduating yr for us
You prefer rumor? "a tall tale of explanations circulating from person to person, pertaining to objects, events, or people of public concern." In social media, a statement whose veracity is not quickly or ever confirmed
Any difference from 'gossip'?: idle talk or rumor; unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, often involving details not confirmed as being true.
Have never liked this part of social media, as if anything goes with free speech. It often shows no respect for free speech.
And although mookie isn't wrong, the least he could do is not make it LOOK like a rumor, i.e., "I've heard (from a coach? team member?) that Brandon's done for the season from an old injury, but waiting for confirmation. It's a shame." Hopefully, the real media will ask for the answer; we all know Lehigh's not real good at it (I just heard it yesterday). Sometimes this stuff comes across like a hit-and-run accident.
