Interesting, I think one of the problems wrestling has isn't the amount of coverage but how much the coverage is spread out......would like to see a more stream lined provider system for wrestling......every week do a "Prime Time Tuesday nite dual" on a specific network between two ranked teams or "Friday Nite Live" dual between ranked teams.......and vary the teams used.....

Will it happen? No, probably not, too many varied contracts by conferences already established.....at one time Flo could have developed into this but not anymore, they lost everybody's faith in quality, cost and content.......

As for getting fannies in the seats, it is a problem for all sports versus 20 years ago or so, for all the reasons we've outlined in the past and I don't see it changing in the near future.....

There are 6 teams that Lehigh could wrestle on a weeknight, and miss no class. F+M, Rutgers, Princeton-Rider, Penn-Drexel. Of course When we go to the second team in each pair it is expected to be in conjunction with the first team listed.

Outside of the eastern time zone. are weeknight meets even practical?

Miss class lol, somehow every other sport manages to do it, and most on a much larger scale....one prime time weekly dual in a season for the program assuming they are a ranked team would not be an issue class wise......how many weekday games does the Lehigh basketball team travel to? How many college basketball games are played in near empty gyms but are still on ESPN2 or ESPNU on a Monday or Tuesday nite?

Heck the MAC plays tuesday nite football games every week on ESPN2 (titled Tuesday nite Maction)....and you don't see many fannies in the seats for Ball State versus Bowling Green or Ohio U versus UB games.....basically the families and a few students and alumni......

No easy answers but the miss class excuse for one "prime time" dual a year they have to travel to on a weeknite is no bueno......

I remember a couple years Where Thad was proud of his schedule, with no missed classes: A western trip between semesters, a Wednesday dual at Wilkes (we almost lost one). a Saturday Sunday, EIWA, NCAA during spring break. Of course the season starting NOV 1, not quite the demand for mid week.

Other than M+W BasketB, baseball, softball, not much midweek sports for Lehigh or anyone in the PL (and Ivy).

The Mac is far and away the most compact in FBS

Now there is an absolutely ridiculous take.....in what way did I say that?? I think a two year old could infer that what I was saying was that what applied in the late seventies doesn't necessarily apply now in any way......but maybe comparing you to a two year old is an insult to two year olds........talk about being intentionally ignorant and trying to stir up false negativity….
