Sorry. Your analysis is flawed. It doesn’t matter how many pounds were added in the late 90s, weight classes are weight classes. By your flawed logic, a guy wrestling 126 was actually wrestling 133. Nonsense. Post all the charts you want.
123 is the same guy as 126. 130 is the same guy as 133 (and maybe some crossover from 137) Guys wrestling 142 should not be considered in the 133 discussion.

You have way too much time on your hands. 🤼‍♂️

Mook,..that was my 1ST NCAA tournament! Was supposed to be my gift for winning a NJ State title, but I failed miserably, losing to a kid coached my a youthful lookin' Thad Turner. Went anyway...

Uetake CLUNG like fly-paper! No wonder Peritore couldn't get out the following year(s)!

You clearly have no understanding about the differences in weight management before and after 1-Jan-1998. Just to enlighten you, here's how the landscape has changed:
  • No more night-before weigh-ins.
  • No more steam rooms or saunas. (just ask the guys at USMA who targeted Cagnina)
  • No more heated practice rooms.
  • No more use of 'plastics'.
  • Weight descent plans implemented.
  • Hydration tests implemented.
126 most definitely transitioned to 133 on 1-Jan-1998. You're just too stupid to realize it.

When one is losing an argument, they either resort to vulgarity or insults. I merely disagreed with you and it's obvious you couldn't handle it. I'm stupid? Well, I can handle that....but you're still wrong.

Not getting into the insult part much (although you did it yourself a little with the You have way too much time on your hands. 🤼‍♂️)
But if your logic was correct- why didn't everyone from 1997 drop a weight in 1998 since the weight was added mid-season? I didn't notice anyone doing it.

  • No more use of 'plastics'.
Flo had a behind-the-scenes video from Belgrade that included an interview with a plastic-encased Micic and a plastic-and-doubly-sweatsuited Vito working out with Yianni.

Whatever it takes, I guess. Didn't seem to affect their performances!

If Vito required plastic & double sweatshirts to make 134.5, how's he going to make 125?

The same way he made 61kg: plan the descent so that he only needs to drop a few pounds of water weight in the days before the matches. He'll come in 4kg lighter than he did last month.
